Description
This parsley smoothie is just in time for spring! With pineapple, turmeric, lemon, and natural fresh fruit juice, you will be sure this parsley smoothie is a great natural remedy for all your allergies.
I have been lucky that I have never had to deal with allergies. But with the start of spring it seems to be taking every one down. Allow me to step on my soap box for a minute. Allergies are not caused by Spring totally; they are usually caused by lifestyle.
All winter long we binge on comfort foods and holiday foods so naturally most of us are clogged up. This weakens our immune system. Stuffy noses and puffy eyes are all indicators of excessive mucus build up which causes inflammation. This is your body’s way of trying to cleanse itself. So I partnered with my favorite drink company Karuna in order to make this immune boosting parsley smoothie so that you can enjoy your spring allergy free!
Karuna’s New Look!
Karuna drinks has been a supporter of Vegan With Curves for awhile and I absolutely love partnering with this company because of the genuine work that they do in order to bring quality and true natural drinks to the market. I am so excited about the new look, the expansion of products (now in the Los Angeles, CA area as well as St. Louis, MO), and the new formulas! Karuna’s Whole Plant Tonic Essential Nutrition drink is the based of our allergy smoothie and for good reason. This parsley smoothie contains longan fruit which contains a high amount of vitamin C. Vitamin C is antioxidant crucial for fighting allergies.
Allergy Fighting Ingredients
Pineapples
he first layer of this parsley smoothie has pineapples. Pineapples contain an enzyme called bromelain, a great anti-inflammatory aspect for fighting allergies. Plus it is also a great source of vitamin C.
Parsley
Another immune boosting allergy fighting food due to its high levels of vitamin C and vitamin A.
Turmeric
Turmeric is one of the best natural remedies for allergies. It reduces inflammation which is usually a top cause for allergies. The molecule curcumin, is a powerful antioxidant in turmeric that gives it it’s power.
Vegan Curve Building Ingredients
I added hemp seeds for the protien content because we still want to build curves right? 1 serving of whole hemp seeds has 10 grams of protien PLUS it contains omega 3
