Easy Avocado Hummus with Karuna’s Avo-Keto Whole Plant Smoothie

Within the past few years, we have seen the accelerated rise of this superfood in the health-conscious community, and we completely understand why. This stone fruit is loaded with heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids, and it carries organic compounds that are strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory molecules like phytosterols, carotenoids and flavonoids. We are a big fan of all of the benefits which is why we chose to celebrate this ingredient in our Avo-Keto Smoothie, a unique blend of avocado with coconut cream, ginger, lemon, and spinach with boosted natural protein from mung beans.

What better way to enjoy National Avocado Day than with our Avo-Keto Smoothie? This hummus showcases the wholesome flavors of avocado, ginger, and coconut. A bowl of this tasty goodness goes great with some fresh veggies or warm flatbreads, perfect for a mid-summer picnic!




Easy Avocado Hummus with Karuna’s Avo-Keto Whole Plant Smoothie

For the Hummus:

  • 2 cups chickpeas, cooked and drained
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt

For the Garnish (optional):

  • 1 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • handful of basil leaves
  • pinch of black pepper, coarse


Hummus Preparation

  1. In a food processor or high-speed blender, process all of the ingredients until smooth.
  2. Enjoy!

To store: Transfer to an air-tight container and store in the fridge for up to a week.
