Aronia Blueberry Syrup with Karuna’s Detox Whole Plant Juice

This Aronia Blueberry Syrup is made with our Detox Whole Plant Juice. In less than 30 minutes you will have the perfect syrup recipe to use for pancakes, waffles, or ice cream! Plus it’s healthy and natural tasting containing no refined sugar!

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl take ¼  cup of Detox Whole Plant Juice and tapioca flour and mix together well. This will help thicken the syrup when cooking. Set aside.

  2. Grab a medium pot, pour in remaining ¾ cup of Detox Whole Plant Juice, blueberries, agave nectar, and lime juice. Bring to a boil.

  3. When it reaches a boil, add juice and flour mixture pot. Reduce heat to a low simmer for 10 minutes. The mixture will start to bubble up and thicken up.

  4. Remove pan from heat and let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

  5. Serve over waffles, french toast, or pancakes. This syrup can be stored in your refrigerator for up to a week and frozen for up to 4 months.

Note

This recipe will work well with our Viva Whole Plant Juice as it also contains Aronia Berries.

Try different berries! Strawberries, raspberries, elderberries, blackberries, or even a mixture of berries!

For a smoother syrup, add it to a blender.

Maple syrup or coconut nectar would work in place of agave nectar or whatever natural sweetener you have on hand.

If you don’t have tapioca flour you can use cornstarch.
